Taking in some breathtaking scenery along the route, the drivers had a great journey from Budapest to the beautiful Bulgarian capital city of Sofia.
The drivers took full advantage of the motorway – with the cars steadily making their way across the country to enter Serbia.
From Hungary, the teams travelled through Serbia and then on into Bulgaria with no major dramas – the general concensus from the boys was that it was one hell of a great day on the road!
Angelo did a ‘Dean Philp’ – those of you who followed Carbon Black back in October will recall how Dean managed to get Nods completely lost during one part of last year’s event. Well, Angelo got lost. And then got lost some more. Luckily, his homing skills did eventually kick in and he was back on course with the others for the final destination – the regal Palace Bulgaria, Boyana Residence.

The first team in even pipped the crew in the private jet to Sofia - some local knowledge of Bulgaria proved a gem for them! On arrival, the drivers all exchanged the day’s incredible journey – a real coup for Carbon Black: a truly fantastic day of driving.

At the Palace, Ant somehow managed to bag a palatial suite with some fourteen rooms – Carbon Black has Ant ’Fourteen Rooms’ Howarth, to add to his ever-increasing list of pseudonyms.
The drivers refuelled with a sumptious 8 course dinner and magnums of champange, and the party got underway with Hed Kandi DJs performing a blinding set.

At the party, Angelo gave Ingrid an interview which we’ll be posting up later. Two notable quotes about his experience of the event so far were “Fanf*ckingtastic!” and “The drive of my life!”. We’ll give you the full lowdown on Angelo’s take on things later. Ultimately, the drivers had a brilliant day and night and were looking forward to day three of the most exclusive supercar event in the world…

We salute you Carbon Black
